Trying to be healthy, lacking time & just really fancy pizza? try this lower calorie option :-)
This is my go to for clients that want a quick easy lunch, literally takes minutes & the options are endless.

Pizza is one of those foods that most people love, but often packs a hefty calorie punch & often high in saturated fat & salt too. Clients of mine know that no food is inherently good or bad & all foods can be included as part of a healthy diet. Pizza due to its high calorie count might be one of those foods that we need to moderate more often. This version however is low calorie and can be as nutritious as you want to make it.
Quick & Easy Tortilla Pizza
Ingredients
Your options here are endless, but here are some ideas:
1 tortilla - wholegrain, mixed, corn or white
Tomato puree/sauce, tinned tomatoes or even fresh tomatoes to cover the base
1/2 teaspoon pesto
Fresh spinach leaves
Cooked cold chicken (flavoured or plain - your choice)
Sprinkle of cheese (again your choice) eat lean to save calories, crumbled feta for flavour, mozzarella for gooiness ;-)
Herbs/spices to your taste
Directions
Place your tortilla on a baking sheet and spread the tomato base of your choice over it.
Add the toppings of your choice.
Lastly sprinkle with the cheese & herbs (Be mindful of cheese quantities this is where extra calories can add up)
Grill under a hot grill until the cheese is melted, only takes a few minutes
Serve with a big side salad to keep you full and add extra fibre & nutrients. Who said pizza cant be healthy?
